♌□⬥ □♐ &◆♎♑♏❍♏■⧫ Nickname: Yumi, The Hunter, the Chimera, the Interloper, Age: Adult Gender: Female Species: Form:Sphynx, type:Psychopomp, biological organism augmented with alien technology. Pronoun Usage: She/her, it/them Orientation: Unknown Powers:
*Manafield Armor: Yumi is equipped with an armored form with a modular design most suitable for combat and utilizing various types of abilities depending on what magic data is available to it. Upon entry into this world, however, it only serves to protect Yumi from harm. It has a composition of metaphysical alloy that can be summoned and fade away at will, and possesses a durability unlike any earthly metal. However, this only prevents it from breaking. The armor is created from an internal energy source commonly known as "Mana", that is, in many worlds, used to perform "Magic". In the occasion that her Mana reserves become drained, the armor will begin to deteriorate, leaving Yumi vulnerable to bodily harm. The armor is also sustained by Yumi's mental focus. She must maintain a significant degree of concentration in order to keep it active. With this said, the armor protects her from bodily harm, but cannot reduce the pain from blunt trauma. Should Yumi suffer a certain threshold of pain, the armor will become unstable and proceed to deteriorate.
*Segi-no-Bari: (Arrow of Justice) A bullet of energy launched from the armcanon of her armor. It currently is offline, disabled upon entry
*Psychopomp: The ability to interact with the ethereal and collect souls to transport them to the afterlife. Unfortunately, this ability has been lost since the destruction of her world.
Height: 6'3" Weight: 198 lbs Appearance:
Most commonly recorded sightings of this extraterrestrial being depict her to assume the form of an almost feline-shaped figure donning the power armor of an unknown civilization of significant technological feats. The majority of the armor suit is an ivory white with a silvery sheen about it, accented with thin orange lights along the armor segments and lined with golden and bronze metals, with a long, cable-like tail stretching behind her, coated in a thin, segmented pieces of armor. Allowing for free movement, while still providing it protection. This tail can lash and strike targets much like a whip. and possesses some dexterity in managing and holding items by wrapping around them.
This armored suit reveals a feminine form underneath, donning a sort of skinsuit covering the the neck, arms, hands, down to the upper thighs, leaving her legs and feet bare. The skinsuit is a light grey with sepia trim and segments. While wearing this, Yumi's tail is uncovered and exits the skinsuit through a small hole located in the lower spine, and is covered in thin, white fur, somewhat cat-like in form.
Yumi's skin is fair in tone, and her hair a luminescent gold blonde. Rather than human-like ears on the side of her head, she has more feline-shaped ones atop her head, which flatten behind the protection of her armor. Her eyes, meanwhile, are that of an autumn's brown, which reflect an orange shine in direct light. A pair of lines trace from the base of her eyes, and travel down her neck to beneath her skinsuit.
Personality: The soul of a protector resides within her. She was initially born as a Psychopomp in her world, a type of spirit that seeks out the souls of the dead, and guides them to the afterlife. Because of this, she bears a significant degree of respect for the dead, and provides an almost motherly comfort to those who lose their loved ones. She rushes headfirst in perilous missions, securing bystander safety first, and reaching her objectives afterward. Her methods are almost always methodical, and planned and prepared hours in advance. Once she sets to a strategy to accomplish a goal, she completes it without fail. Strengths: Parkour Highly responsive reflexes Skilled in puzzle solving Weaknesses: Slow to seek aid. Quick to assume harm to herself before that of a bystander. Abilities gained and lost depending on current world. Sensitive to electromagnetic and psychic forces. Likes: Stargazing Riddles Tranquility Exploration and Discovery Dislikes: Destruction Greed Deceit History: Once a guardian of the souls of the deceased who sought their final rest, her world was destroyed by a race known as the Syeth, who travel from world to world to harvest their resources, magic, and technology in order to gain more Power. Now, as her world's sole survivor, she travels across the universe to thwart the Syeth in their conquest for galactic domination.
~~~ LATEST KNOWN TRANSMISSION FROM SHIP'S LOG: - - - UNKNOWN DISTURBANCE DETECTED IN GALAXY MAP #S4-396 DELTA...
DISTURBANCE IDENTIFIED AS AN INTERDIMENSIONAL FLUX.
Personal log: An unknown signal was revealed to my ships scanners less than a cycle ago. It appears to be a distortion of space time. Further analysis has shown me that similar signals have recently appeared sparsely throughout numerous coordinates in my maps.
They appear to be...a sort of portal. And yet almost all of them remain open for a temporary period of time, as if drawing something in, then closing.
This portal, however, remains open. It can be inferred that this is the main entry point to wherever the small portals lead. What lies beyond it, however, seems to be too far beyond my scanners reach.
This Flux seems to have attracted the attention of the Syethe. Their ships can be seen far on the outskirts of this main portal, sending probes into it to investigate it. I once even detected a small armed force vessal sent into the rift to investigate it. It has yet to return, but judging by their behavior, I can only guess they have found that they can survive on the surface of the world within. And if this is the case, I am certain that they will soon move to salvage the world.
I cannot allow this. Whether this unknown world possesses power for them to steal, or innocent lives to extinguish, I must disrupt their mission.
Their fleet is too vast in number to attack them head on with great speed or efficiency, however. Instead, I should first engage in ground reconnaissance to verify whatever they seek can be secured from their grasp, then, if possible, ensure the safety of the world's inhabitants.
From there, I shall set myself to work on repelling the Syethe fleet. I realize I cannot gurantee a swift entry and exit from this world, but such is a risk I must take. I refuse to stand by and watch the Syethe rob life and power from any other world...
